It's long been apparent that you lack the maturity to put aside for the good of the country and for the good of your party your petty differences with President Trump. Most deeply do I regret my monetary contributions to your 2012 presidential campaign. I was sorely disappointed when you lost, but I can see now that it was for the best that you failed to achieve the office of the Presidency. You lack the integrity and courage Americans need from their President. You may look down upon President Trump from your high horse, but I have news for you. Donald Trump is the best President this nation has had in thirty years, Your pettyness and completely self-centered attitude prevent you from acknowledging the lowest unemployment rate in more than half a century, a record stock market, the inevitable replacement of NAFTA with the USMCA, and a host of other positives for this nation, inluding a substantial slowing of the flood of illegal aliens into this country, and all of these things due to President Trump.
Before today, I felt it would be quite difficult for me to have a lower opinion of you or a greater disappointment in you, but you managed it with this reprehensible behavior as "Pierre Delecto". Shame on you, Senator. Oh, I know that you don't regret your underhandedness in sniping at the President while praising yourself under a guise. It's now clear to me precisely how low is your character, but you'll never be able to admit the truth to yourself. That's OK, Senator, because anyone paying attention now knows precisely what you are.

That is not true. The Republican candidate was shoved in our face for as long as I can remember.

Having worked in campaigns as a representative in state elections, the Republican Party insiders backed a horse long before the starting bell.

My experience at state conventions was that rules committees and other mechanisms would push their agenda to force the anointed ones ahead.

The people had no choice in that anointing. How did I select Dole or Bush or Romney in the first instance? I didn't.

The first truly open process I've seen in my lifetime was Trump. And, he had to fight for it.

I still remember my wife standing on top of a chair at one State Convention, screaming, "Riot! Riot!" while thrusting her fist into the air due to the chairman ramming through the Party's pre-chosen candidate.

No. My experience has been that the party gives us a slate and works the votes to their previous conclusion or three.

You are naive if you believe your conception is how it mostly works.

I’m grateful that I can honestly say that I’ve never voted for him for anything. My vote is a throwaway in NY so in 2012 I voted my conscience and wrote in Mitch Daniels. Romney was and is an enormous scumbag, not worthy of any office in the US.
