http://www.news.com.au/finance...66b6b0b77522c06d6476 LAST month, British woman Sue Howarth and her husband Robert Lynn were woken at 2am by three men breaking into a window of their remote farm in Dullstroom, a small town in the northeast of South Africa, about 240km from the nearest capital city. The couple, who had lived in the area for 20 years, were tied up, stabbed, and tortured with a blowtorch for several hours. The masked men stuffed a plastic bag down Mrs Howarth’s throat, and attempted to strangle her husband with a bag around his neck. The couple were bundled into their own truck, still in their pyjamas, and driven to a roadside where they were shot. Mrs Howarth, 64, a former pharmaceutical company executive, was shot twice in the head. Mr Lynn, 66, was shot in the neck. Miraculously he survived, and managed to flag down a passer-by early on Sunday morning. Mrs Howarth, who police said was “unrecognisable” from her injuries, had multiple skull fractures, gunshot wounds and “horrific” burns to her breasts. “Sue was discovered amongst some trees, lying in a ditch,” writes Jana Boshoff, reporter for the local Middelburg Observer newspaper. “Her rescuers managed to find her by following her groans of pain and then noticing drag marks from the road into the field. The most reliable numbers are released by the Transvaal Agricultural Union, which represents commercial farmers, and civil rights group AfriForum. According to the TAU, last year there were 345 attacks resulting in 70 deaths — the highest death toll since 2008. In 2015 there were 318 attacks resulting in 64 deaths, and the year before there were 277 attacks resulting in 67 deaths. In total, between 1998 and the end of 2016, 1848 people have been murdered in farm attacks — 1187 farmers, 490 family members, 147 farm employees, and 24 people who happened to be visiting the farm at the time. While South Africa has one of the highest rates of violent crime anywhere in the world, the attacks on white farmers are no ordinary crimes. In a 2014 report, “The Reality of Farm Tortures in South Africa”, AfriForum wrote that “the horror experienced during farm tortures is almost incomprehensible”. “The well-known ‘blood sisters’ from the South African company Crimescene-cleanup have rightly indicated that, in their experience, farm tortures are by far the most horrific acts of violence in South Africa,” the report said. “The average murder ratio per 100,000 or the population in the world is nine, I believe. In South Africa, it is 54. But for the farming community it is 138, which is the highest for any occupation in the world.” Since 2007, at the direction of the government, South African police have stopped releasing statistics about the race of the victims. Monitoring group Genocide Watch says the cover-up has been exacerbated by American and European governments, which have “remained silent about the problem, reinforcing the campaign of denial”. The rise in farm attacks has been blamed on increasingly anti-white hate speech, particularly from the ruling African National Congress. Sickening "Into The Cannibal's Pot: Lessons for America" by Ilana Mercer talks about violence in post-apartheid South Africa, pretty horrifying. ...let him who has no sword sell his robe and buy one. I remember Rhodesia with fond memories. Then Zimbabwe ... spiraled into chaos ... older white farmer friends out in the bush, providing food for their small rural town; who refused to move to safety and didn't get to a safe haven when the machete waving mob arrived. What happened to them was of the lowest kind of mob incited, mindless criminal depravity. Weeks before we learned of their fate ... Easier said then done unfortunately. There is little market for their farms, let alone getting full value. Limits on assets leaving the country. Difficulty getting tourist visas to visit other countries for fear of overstays. Harshest Dream, Reality

This is nothing new gents. I was in South Africa in 2008 on a mini-safari (2 day hunt) and spoke to my guides whom both were originally from Belgium and at least one of them had served in the SA Army. Heard numerous stories of similar events that predated even then. The bulk of the land in SA is owned by "rich" farmers and some of that land was taken or was trying to be taken away from them and given to the natives for the sake of equality. Africa is Africa and will always be Africa. Its like no other place on Earth. It's very beautiful and very savage all at the same time. Sub Saharan Africa has always fascinated me. Even after all this time, its as if the native Africans always have a primal urge to turn back to their natural state. All people have this capability under the right circumstances, but in Africa the veneer of civilization is especially thin. I randomly ran into a South African immigrant (White) to my area a couple months ago. I, being naive about the region, just started asking about what was going on there. She immediately launched into a "racist" tirade that was curling my ears, and said all the White people are leaving as fast as they can. I guess its true ? "Crom is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, 'What is the riddle of steel?' If I don't know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me."

I worked with a South African, know doctors and nurses who have done medical missions there, and have numerous friends who have been on safaris there. It's been 100% unanimous that Mandela turned that place into a hell hole basing nearly every decision on race. White utility workers were replaced with blacks, and utilities went from nearly 1st world reliable to what you'd expect 3rd world. Crime went through the roof, and most white people live in walled compounds. Health care took a hit too and diseases like tuberculosis runs rampant. In other words, it isn't racist if it's true. Just like it's not racist in the US to point out that 8% of the population (aka black males) commit nearly 50% of the violent crimes. I was stationed at Wheelus AB outside of Tripoli, Libya Aug 1962-Feb 1964. In Dec 1962, Louisiana Senator Allen Ellender visited. He was concluding his African tour. I still have a picture taken with him. They were only able to round up five Louisiana boys on very short notice to have lunch with him, and a photo-op. When he returned to the US, his assessment was that the Africans could never govern themselves. This was when many of the countries were trying to no longer be European colonies. Of course, this was met with huge disapproval. As history has proven, he was very prophetic. NRA Endowment Member USAF 1958-1970 Master Instructor 1969-1970 Georgia Gun Owners Member

Never miss an opportunity to STFU |
This is exactly Rhodesia II. Friends who went there in the 70s said ladies went out of the house with a shotgun slung over their shoulder. Same with grocery shopping. A 1911 was over $1000 at the time, as was a Browning A5 shotgun. This is 1970s money. It was common for the natives to raid farms and kill the white owners. Many farmers fled the country for their own safety. The socialist/communist government redistributed the land to the locals. With in 2-3 years the farms failed and hunger was rampant. Warfare and terrorism became the norm. It's as if this continent is doomed by its regressive mentality. The modern borders mean little as things eventually revert to tribalism.
