I remember dog sitting for a neighbor, these people had every tv channel known to man ,for eternity.
On a crime ,criminals and monsters TV show they listed 15 people that just disappeared without a trace.
There one day and nowhere to be found four hours later.
Nary a clue, anywhere. Vanished w/o trace.

Some high school drop outs broke into a house that was not occupied but being sold (family relocated on short notice). They broke in, dragged in some furniture picked from road side waiting for large item pick up and set up house keeping. Took months to get rid of them and they were a nightmare in the neighborhood.
Here is what I don't get about the law protecting them. These are the crimes they committed. - Breaking & Entering - Theft (took possession of property waiting removal and sold it) - Trespassing - Vandalism (damaged walls, floors, doors)
How on EARTH, with that list of crimes committed were they not dragged out of there, arrested, and charged resulting nice accommodations with the county?
Does a thief simply have to sit down in your favorite arm chair after grabbing a beer from your fridge to claim domain over YOUR house? How does this happen?
And I’ll bet the County Prosecutors in most of Southeast Michigan would decline to prosecute on any of those charges unless it was a property owned by one of the “movers and shakers” or a prominent Democrat.

The law
Well yeah, I know there is a law - but why?
Recently I watched a news story where a group of 6 waited for a family to take an extended vacation, broke into the home, set up camp, and now the home owners cannot get them out of the house.

squatters have no rights
from a practical standpoint, no one other than you know they're there so don't call the police
if everyone handled the problem themselves, the problem with squatters would be resolved in a very short period of time
be nice about it, give them a choice and 15 minutes to leave
