"SC2AGuns @ http://AmmoJo.com promotes the sale of firearms, accessories, tactical police gear, camping, and hunting supplies. Facebook policy states "Brick-and-mortar and online retailers may promote firearms, alcohol, and tobacco items available for sale off of our services; however, we restrict visibility of this content for minors. We allow discussions about the sale of these goods in stores or by online retailers, as well as advocating for changes to regulations of goods and services covered in this policy."

Have you ever visited an online gun dealer? https://ammojo.com/home
The first screen that appears is "Are you 18 years or older?" If not, the website closes. Do you think gun dealers just sell to anyone? Do you realize how scrutinized gun dealers are by the ATF? Probably not, otherwise you would relax your policy on gun sales. Furthermore, even if a person's background check clears - if there is even a small concern with their demeanor, they way they communicate, or anything that raises a red flag, ALL gun dealers DENY the sale of the firearm to that person. If you don't believe me, walk into a gun shop with a hoodie covering your head. You will be asked to take off the hood or leave. Gun dealers are always looking for red flags because NO ONE wants a visit from the ATF to investigate a crime created by the gun that was sold to that person.

Whether Facebook agrees with me or not, everyone needs to consider what happened in Israel last year. Don't be naive. The same can happen in the US. My family hated the sight of guns in the house until they saw what happened in Israel. Now we own a gun store. Are you ready when no one is coming to help you?"

yeah, I'd not be surprised if they deep six your "appeal." It comes across as preachy, and the examples are silly to me.

If you're trying to use FB to conduct business then present a business case. This isn't it.

I'm not using Wokebook. I only had a pic of the buyer's club card on their site and that was marked as deceptive content.

Their words not mine ""Brick-and-mortar and online retailers may promote firearms, alcohol, and tobacco items available for sale off of our services; however, we restrict visibility of this content for minors."

Do they really think we're stupid enough to sell a gun to a minor?

Thanks!

One of the notes as I was completing the form was they only had a limited number of appeals they could review. I'm sure this one will get their attention.

I was calling them out on their policy which states "Brick-and-mortar and online retailers may promote firearms, alcohol, and tobacco items available for sale off of our services; however, we restrict visibility of this content for minors. The image they suspended was a Buyer's Club card of all things.
I'm not promoting my website but here's the picture they suspended.
AmmoJo's Buyers Club - Platinum Membership

They are saying it's ok to promote firearms, but minors shouldn't see it. FB needs to update their website with a checkbox that restricts posts from minors if that's their policy.
