You are so right about being there for both your Dad and your Mom. I went through the same thing 18 months ago, as the oldest son of four kids, it was a relief to my Dad to have me there - for my Mom, in his final days. Your being there was MOST Important for all three of you. May your father Rest In Peace, condolences to you, your Mom, and your family.
