mojojojoI Voted - Have You? (Reset)
My wife and I voted this morning. Our schedule finally allowed us to get to the early voting location on a weekday.
One nice thing about living in the country, we arrived 10 minutes before it opened and were first in line. Opened at 8AM and we were on the way to work by 8:05AM

apprenticeVoted earlier this week. Took about twenty minutes to get my ballot. Can't imagine what it will be like for those that wait until the last day.

Johnny 3eaglesWife and I voted this morning. Quick and painless.

Fly-SigDropped our ballots in the secure ballot box. We will track them to be sure they don't go missing.

MinnowStood in line for about 30 minutes to vote. The poll worker told us it has been an average wait of one hour, so I timed it nicely. It was a smooth operation with a lot of happy people around.

TMatsWe’ll be out of state a week from Tuesday. Early voting is new for me. Never had to wait a minute in the rural places we’ve lived (including where we live now), but for early voting had to go to the County building downtown. Stood in a line for awhile, but it wasn’t too bad, maybe 10 minutes. Had a nice conversation with an OTR truck driver while waiting. Done.

JohnCourageVoted in Georgia. Polls were full but no lines to peak of. They said it was the slowest it had been all day so I guess I got lucky.

PistolriaVoted today! In and out in under 30 minutes. Lines were long but moved very quickly.

PrefontaineVoted yesterday. 10 minutes total from waiting in line 3-4 minutes, DL, signature, voting machine, put the paper print out into the other machine and leave.
The retired gentleman volunteering said point blank “You don’t want to come on the first day of early voting, nor the last day of early voting, or Election Day.”
That was his way to beat the herd. That’s pretty much what I do every time. And don’t go in the morning. Go from 10am-11am, before lunch traffic kicks off. Or go from 1:30PM to 2:30PM and same story applies. After that it can get real crowded from people knocking off early at work to go vote.
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Opus DeiVoted straight (R) ticket and grudge-abstained a vote for a Democrat in an uncontested race.
Afterwards, I went to the nearest city of size and passed by either a rental yard or a utility contractor's business, and there were some aerial lifts parked close to the highway with baskets in the air deliberately blocking a billboard for Harris/Walz. I would've taken a picture, but until I got right there I didn't know it was a double-deck billboard, as the upper one was still visible.

smschulzYup, 45 min wait today in the hood in Houston. Apparently been that way all week.

patwWent in today and only waited for about 20 minutes. We are glad we did it and from the looks of it so far, the county I live in seems to be turning more "red" from the numbers, which is about time.

NuclearI dropped off my Mom’s ballot today. Line out the door waiting to get in. Once I got in the Old biddy sealing envelopes made me stand in line with my sealed envelope, while she sealed envelopes for people who couldn’t lick them…. Anyway my wife, my Mom and I have all early voted for Republicans and on the Conservative side of our many ballot initiatives.
