Quite a while ago he sent Mrs DF some ball bearings he had been collecting at work. She uses them for her slingshot and like s to have them around.....like I like to have ammo around. Well he has been collecting more and without being asked, he sent more at his expense. I think that's going the extra mile. Mrs DF asked me to thank you, brother. Smile

He sent me a Kindle!
A few years back I was asking questions about them because my mother likes large print books but their size impedes her ability to hold and read them in bed.
He instant karma'd kindle to us and she took right to it.

Yes, he is. I was gifted a .22 scope by Rot and TSM11 which has enabled me to shoot my 10/22 accurately enough to want a new trigger, rather than wondering if I was hitting the paper.

I shouldn't read without having coffee. I really read that as "He sent me a kidney!"

The double take still didn't help.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I had no idea his generosity ran so broad. I wrestled with whether I should thank him publicly since people like him prefer to do their deeds quietly. I didn’t want to breach that protocol but I feel such gratitude that he would think of our interests so far beyond the initial gift.

Yes he is.

Had the pleasure of hanging out with him a few times, and always a rewarding experience.
