Yeah well I was laid off of my job when gold was about $350 an ounce. I strongly considered taking my 401 which was close to $40G's at the time and buy gold with all of it. Wife said no I didn't know what I was doing. So I rolled it over and lost most of it in the crash.

Crypto, in general, kinda reminds me of penny stocks back in the day when you had to consult the pink sheets to get quotes and find special brokers to buy from. The stories behind the companies were always full of hope and promise (like the lottery is today ) Seems more and more governments and institutions are at least looking at them so some of them may pan out over the long haul. I really don’t know the technology or the uses for them so I’m one to pass on these.
My son, on the other hand, a millennial, has quite a few shares of XRP but he bought in at 25 cents a share.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
