I'm with ya!

I use the cell phone camera mode to read menus in the restaurant, with small print and low light, it's a drag.

And I am a graduate of the "Leo Getz School of No Drive Thru". I walk in.

A cell phone “flashlight” is helpful too.

Yeah. I can turn that on or off while using the "camera", if I need it. The CCD's are pretty good without it most of the time. But I don't use it in the movie theater anymore, I just move closer, cuz I can't hear the sound over all the yelling...

Have you tried reading the print on a medicine bottle lately? Especially since they have to print it in at least two languages?

And if you try to use a magnifier, you can only see one tiny part at at time since it curves around the little bottle.

I can’t read things at grocery store either. I carry a Streamlight Micro and pull it out at the stores and restaurants. I can read a little better if it’s illuminated. But some things are so small even that doesn’t work.

Apple phones have a magnifier app built in. When enabled triple click home button to start Magnifier. It is under Settings.

I use the free iPhone app Magnifying Glass with Light for really tiny stuff. Most of the time I find it easiest to just use the camera to take a picture, then pinch and zoom on the pic as needed.

My gripe is the grocery store and items on the bottom shelf. Since I need to use the window part of my bifocal (tilt my head back) to read it, I practically have to get on my knees. And part of the price sticker is up under a slight overhang on the front of the shelf. I usually just pull the sticker off to read it, and then try to stick it back where it was. Smile

this is not a rant, ( that would have been placed in the "Whats your deal " section )

Rants are something that you want to go bat shit crazy about , something that you want support from the other members about.

and want no disagreements about.

this is a statement, about difficulty and inconvenience,

agree or don't agree, I don't care a butt whistle , either way.
