New Truck Day - Jeep Gladiator
Well I may have done a thing...

Worked out the deal last week and took delivery yesterday.

2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, an adult Lego set. Most of the options I wanted, the bed liner and Trail Rail system I can add myself. It does have the full time transfer case which was one of my requirements after having part time 4 wheel drive on my F-150. No, it's not as comfortable or practical as my F-150, but it's fun and I plan to have a lot of fun with it.

I just test drove one. The cab was too cramped for me and my knee rode against the 4X4 shift lever. Too bad. I was hoping for a Wrangler / Pickup for all the uses I need.
I think if I was in AK, I would use a block heater.

Congratulations!
I have a 2021 sport model that I bought brand new 3 years ago. Yeah it's cramped inside, but it's doable for me and I am 6' 235 lbs. It's a blast to drive, hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.

Enjoy it- Got my Mojave 4 months ago. Was torn between another Wrangler or a pick up and realized I could have both in one.

Also saw the dog in the back. Go onto Dirtydog4x4.com and check out the rear seat hammock and netting to seperate front from back. I keep it set up like that all the time as the dogs are usually my only passengers.

The more I see these, the more I like them. I was initially put off by the proportions of it. But a buddy has a base Sport & its really not bad the little I've been in it.

I felt the same way, (that they looked a little awkward), but the Mojave and Rubicon have a better look to them with the bigger tires and raised fenders.

I thought that I wanted one, tried to sit in it at the dealer, but they are not built for people with long legs.

Man, I want one of those in a bad way. I'm not a Chrysler guy at all, but I've been drooling over Gladiators since they released them. It checks all my boxes...off-road capable, a bed for hauling stuff, back seat for people. I really want the base model: manual windows, manual locks, manual transmission, no crazy electrical stuff to go bad. I don't know as I've ever actually seen one, though...all the dealers around here only stock the upmarket ones.

I have this dream of road tripping one of those things and exploring a bunch of the jeep trails out in Colorado and Utah. My current RWD Silverado and Suburban just aren't up to the task, but I've also got too many kids to fit everybody in a little truck like that. If my Silverado can last me a few more years till some of the kids move out and prices come down a bit on the older ones, a Gladiator may well be my next truck.

I'd probably still end up in a JLU over a Gladiator, if I were buying now.

Believe me, I've done the website build thing more than once or twice Big Grin. It's the paying for it part that stops me...

That is a very nice Jeep. May it serve you well. I wanted a Gladiator when they were first released but realized that I wanted a secure storage area without having to get a shell. So I’ve been looking at a 4 door wrangler instead since it’s just my wife and I usually. Thanks for posting.

Very nice! It seems a good time to buy.

I’m very interested in the full time transfer case.
