My friend john came out to help me today.
I let him shoot some of the car too.

Nice. It's not easy prepping a Vette compared to other metal cars. I found that out the hard way on mine years ago.

Prepping any car is easy.

Doing it right, well, that's another thing! Wink

I've seen more than a handful of cars that looked like an epileptic turtle worked on it.

Screaming- Nice ride!
I just passed on a '76 with +/- 50,000 mi. all original. It needed a heater core hose and a carb rebuild.
And the price was a steal...
I'm kicking myself.

A guide coat over the primer before sanding is your friend! Wavy glass is just heartbreaking after all that hard work.

I'll shoot it, sand it lightly then prime it again. then guide coat sand it.

First I have to get that old lacquer sealed in.

And a little wave is OK. It's not a "show car".
They had panel waves from the factory.

As a kid from the 70s I thought 3rd gen Corvettes were the coolest thing on the road. Happy to see one being kept up.

I have a few SIGs.
