Of course! I live in Paradise (others call it Florida) and we have warm weather almost all year round, perhaps a little warmer than some folks like it but it is perfect for me, we have nice beaches, nice quiet places the Yankees ain't discovered or messed up yet and, well, it truly is Paradise to me.

Sure. Hill Country, Corpus Christi or South Padre, DFW for Six Flags, San Antonio, Palo Duro Canyon. We are planning a trip to Big Bend. Texas is big.

We used to cruise, but ever since the kids moved out of state, our vacations are Michigan and Seattle. Just got back from Seattle.

We live in Florida and do vacations in other parts of Florida for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break.

Speaking of Paradise. We went to Whitefish Point a few years ago and stopped in Paradise for lunch. The cheeseburgers weren’t all that.

I'm quite happy where I'm at.

When I take a vacation from work, it is usually a good time to put up another shed or rebuild a transmission. Last year it was the timing chains and a defroster door.

Guess not everybody does that.

Yes, recently took a mini vacation. Spent couple days exploring White Sands and Carlsbad caverns with stops in Roswell and Lincoln.

Absolutely we do.
There is so much to see& do in Ohio.
T this point I almost relish the times when my co-workers would say “there’s nothing to do around here”.

We’ve been taking every other weekends away in the motorhome exploring the historical sites, wineries & micro breweries and points of interest for the past 15 yrs.
Love it, we only schedule one out of state trip a year.

When I lived in central California, it was hundreds of miles to a neighboring state. Because of the geography where I am now, it is quite easy to go to half a dozen states.

Yes, since we moved to Utah we've vacationed here.

Yes. It's Nevada after all.

To be clear, I'd rather go to my cabin than anywhere else. It is in Nevada.

Grew up in SW Michigan, and it was not unusual for folks to vacation up to Ludington or Saugatuck, or Mackinac Island, or the U.P.

Here in NC, we vacation at the Outer Banks mostly, but also head to the mountains near Asheville.

I live in Ohio, not a lot here. As such I would go somewhere else for vacation.
Unfortunately, I don't take vacations. At 38, I've never been more than 100 miles from home and can count on one hand the number of places I've spent the night that aren't my house.
So, if the the fact I spend my work mandated time off at home qualifies, then yes.

Before you pack up and move, you need to decide that you
1. Can handle 7 or 8 feet of snow.
2. Don't mind the wind off Lake Superior when the air temp is below zero.
3. You have enough blood to survive the springtime mosquito and black fly season.
4. You'll meet people who just don't like trolls (anyone who lives below the bridge) screwing up the housing market.

I live in a lower peninsula tourist town. As soon as Labor Day comes we head for the UP but we spend a few weeks between tourist season and the first snow. That's the best time of the whole year. Then, we go back home. I'm sure the Yoopers like it that way. I know we don't appreciate the Illinois crowd moving to our town and pricing the locals out of the housing market.

Last couple years yeas. We did the U.P. including Mackinaw Island and the Keewenaw Penninsula 2 years ago. Last year we did Hemingway country in and around Petoskey.

This year it will be the Outer Banks and hopefully Yellowstone in 2023.

Growing up in MI, we would go to Houghton Lake for a weeks vacation. When we lived in FL, we would go to Orlando and do the parks as they gave residents a discount. Now we live in Arizona and go to Sedona or the North Rim for a week vacation of hiking with the dogs every year to get away from the heat in the summer.

When I lived in Michigan, yes. Not so much while living in Texas but plan on doing so.

Just like others, when we’re home in Texas it’s easy to drive for 6 hours and still be in the state. We always loved visiting the Hill Country, Padre Island, and can’t wait to take the kids to the Big Bend area.

As for here in Kansas right now, besides visiting KC for the weekend no.
