I had a post in the What's Your Deal about how my favorite Speck iPhone case was now too slippery and started doing some research last night.

Turns out there's a guy who took the concept of grip decals for guns and applied them to phones:

I ordered a set from Amazon and will be applying to the back of my new Otterbox which is nice and grippy on the edges but the back is slick as can be.

My last two have been Magpul style cases. The tape has too much abrasive since I carry mine in my shirt pocket.
The case also sticks slightly above the screen to provide limited drop protection too.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My current case has a translucent back so the color of my phone kind of shows, and TPU around the perimeter. Grippy enough for me and isn't a PITA to slide in and out of a pocket.

Springfield needs to release a line of grips for phone cases that have "grip zone" on them so you know where to grab your phone.
