Mr. Allen sir I believe that a mans life can be enriched by the friends he keeps. And as I read I see that your friends here have been truly enriched by you. I think you can rest easy that you have left a legacy through the men and women of this forum to add to your life accomplishments.

I pray you and your family find peace in the days ahead.

Won't be the same without you, J. I hope to have half as much grace and fortitude when my time comes. You are what is best in all of us.

It's easy to talk the talk but you, sir, have walked the walk. I especially enjoy your stock market posts. I've read Benjamin Graham's Intelligent Investor but it seems you've committed his methods to memory. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences.

JALLEN, I did not realize before this thread that you were in poor health.

I want you to know that I have always looked forward to your commentary on every thread in this forum. Anytime I saw that you had posted I knew it would be something worthwhile for me to read. I have never met you in person but I have immense respect for you.

I hope that you have many years yet to go among us but if not I want you to know that you have made an impact far in excess of what should be possible on a largely anonymous internet forum. I will always remember you.

Jim,

I've thought about this all day. It was literally on my mind all day. I still can't think of the right words to say, but I do want you to know that I admire the strength, courage and dignity you have displayed. I enjoy your posts immensely and learned a lot over the years reading and absorbing what you have shared with us. I was younger and much more rash and quick to jump before thinking when I joined. I still have to fight that, and reading your posts and your wisdom have helped to moderate my sometimes rash takes on subjects. I will be thinking of and praying for you and your family. Thank you for sharing with us over the years.

Sincerely,

Chuck
