Checked with the rangers and it sounded like my truck was good to go to visit Gemini Bridges from the top. Not sure how to get to the bottom. Bridges were pretty cool although a little puckering at the edges. Bottom view must be nice.

As a newbie, the road from 313 down was easy with a few spots where I thought about my line carefully. The problem was when I followed Maps and took an old, obsolete path rather than the well groomed road. To be fair, the groomed road led up the butte whereas I wanted to get down and on the highway back to Moab.

The road less traveled. It’s a miracle I didn’t get stuck. Either perched on a boulder, stuck in muddy ruts or breaking something like an axle or tire. God was taking care of me. A few crunches and some fishtailing wheel spinning later, somehow I made it over what seemed like a 60 degrees of muddy ruts and boulders.

And then I was treated to a few downhill miles of single track cliff side dirt road. My ass would have been swearing if it wasn’t already tightly puckered. Respect to the Jeep and dune buggies that zipped by. Yes, perhaps technically easy as long as there is no opposing traffic. But not a comfortable ride.

Good job!! We did it a few years ago. We came up from 191 and bypassed Bull Canyon, which takes you under the Bridges.
