Well, further to my earlier post, the rods were not used to find water. They were used to find pipelines, conduits etc, some empty, some for petroleum, some for water some for wire. It seems they worked for finding linear structures. Still think there's a scientific explanation for it. Prob something to do with gravitational anomalies. I don't have any special abilities and am skeptical of such.

It works for me,and with all the na sayers that is just not right.
I use 3 ' steel welding rods.
Just because you might not be able to do does not mean that some folks can't do it.

My father was always able to find underground pipes like the sewer mains.

He checked my property in Loudoun County and found a powerful spot that turned out to be between two existing springs that are about 900 feet apart.
