You read that right, unless you're having a stroke and it says something different from needing labels, if that's the case you should call 911.

Anyway, I got this here laser printer, a Brother HL-L2340DW, and I need some 4x6, or A6, sized labels that I can run through there. The trouble is there's sooooooo many choices out there, I dunno what to pick.

I'd prefer if they came on rolls or in big long ribbons, I guess is what you'd call them. Like a box of belted ammunition, but in sticker form? No sheets, unless individual stickers can be removed from the sheet and placed in the manual feed slot of the printer. Bulk is good too, because I already know where to get little packs of the stickers, I just don't wanna pay $8 for 40 or them or whatever it was.

I find several A6 label rolls when I look for them, but have no idea if that will run through your 2340 or not. I have and use the 2360 version, and it has the adjustment on the manual feed slot that I could probably make work for it. Having said that, I've never tried a roll-o-labels on this thing before.

Good luck, and report back if it's working for you later.

With the sheets of labels you can tell it which label to print, thereby only using one at a time. If there are 6-8 on one sheet you would just feed it through multiple times, selecting a different label each time.

I like the Avery labels as my Word software can be set up to print them easily.

I've already come up with seven hilarious things he may be planning to do with these labels.

Don't get caught.

As revenge for a previous practical joke, a Buddy of mine had 1000 very official looking "how's my driving" bumper stickers made with our frend's cell number on them. Then he stuck them on trucks all around Los Angeles. Our friend was getting calls for years and only recently figured out why. It was a great running joke to watch.

Can't get caught if I stick them on things I own, but yeah, you are on the right track.

Interesting thread. Just took delivery of a Brother DCP-L2520DW after my vintage color ink jet Canon MP180 s**t the bed. Decided as a retiree with meager at best printing needs that a color ink jet was no longer a good fit. A monotone laser without all the ink jet cartridge problems would suit much better.

As an aside my very first printer was a Brother back in the mid-80s. Model M1509 dot matrix. If memory serves it cost $399 back then. Served me very well.

On point I have a supply of Universal CD/DVD labels (that require the use of an Avery template) as well as some Avery business card sheets. The later I really have no need for and I haven't got around to burning more DVDs from VHS tapes where fresh labels would be needed. So neither have been testing in my new Brother. I'll be curious what the OP decides on for his laser printer label needs.

This. Has always worked for me. Word has pre-set templates for this.

I’m fairly certain the Brother HL-L2340DW will not use rolled media (sticky label or otherwise). Or let’s put it another way, you might figure a way to sorta kinda get it to work, but if you blow that puppy up, I doubt Brother is going to be amused and help you fix it.

It will if you single feed it, and the sticker is rated for lasers, pew pew.

I went with some Avery stickers that just happened to be on sale on the Amazon. Pack of 20 and pack of 40, these are the kind I originally bought and they work, I just didn't want to pay $8. Now, this doesn't mean my quest is over, it just means I found a tasty deal for the time being.
