400mHelp fixing garage door
I finally figured out why my garage door makes a loud noise just before it stops when opening. On one side the horizontal rail is misshaped at the end where it meets the vertical section of the rail. Causing a bump instead of a smooth transition from the two sections and allowing the bottom most roller to hop over the bump. I know it needs to be shaped back to normal and I’m wondering if there is an easy way or some sort of backing piece I can put inside the track to pound it back to the correct shape.

Is the bump on the flats or in the groove where the wheel runs?

400mBoth. The flat of the horizontal rail is bent in just a bit. Easily remedied. The curved side has been closed a bit too. I just found a socket that matches the curve so I might clamp that and pound it to shape.

Yeah, it's not rocket science. I would do just what you're thinking. Just be careful to not bend the whole track from the mounting brackets.
