Wife ordered me a Apple watch. Will be nice to actually go for a run without my phone.

Anyway... Any apps out there you guys have found useful?

I use autosleep to monitor my sleep and auto wake for an alarm. Heart Analyzer gives good data on your heartrate while wearing the watch. Carrot weather is a different weather app that presents the weather in a humorous way. I used to use map my ride for jogging but started using Nike run club before I hurt my knee.

One word of caution, if this is your first Apple Watch and you use the supplied watch band be careful. Never put it on over a hard floor, eventually it will slip off your hand when you are trying to fasten the band and when it hits the floor it will do some damage - even on the SS with sapphire crystal. I did this when I had my first watch and knocked the face loose. When my wife first started wearing hers she dropped it and scratched the back of the case (luckily it did not land on the face like my first one did).

Amen to that advice. I put mine on in the morning, over my bed. Both my wife and son broke their watches on tile floor.

I have stock apps plus I monitor the Dow on week days and the weather on week ends. I have Spotify, Sound Level db, LG washer/dryer alerts, MyQ for 4 garage doors, Shazam, and Nikon Camera Remote.

Careful when you start putting apps in there. You will quickly run out of storage space.
