Won’t make much difference as almost all of that weight is the motor end and the console

Haven't unpacked it yet. Are they one piece? Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

2 large pieces - actually the second piece may be in even smaller pieces out of the box. There’s a band that should not be removed until it is all setup. It’s on the heavy tread portion.

Thanks for the tips. Grandson headed down now, I'll let you know how it went. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Well, that turned into Plan B almost immediately... Running surface and motor are a single unit and as noted, the bulk of the weight. We got it into the house and made one attempt to get it to go up the stairs. Two problems there...the stairs consist of two steps, a landing and a 90° corner then up. The railing is too close to the ceiling for an up-and-over. Getting it up the stairs would involve removing the bottom bannister and a chunk of railing. Done that before to get box springs up/down the stairs, but that combined with the DAMN heavy unit was going to be a huge (possibly insurmountable) issue. About that time Mrs. PHPaul says "We could just put it by the bay window in the living room and move the chaise lounge (which she uses for her daily 15 minutes of sun...) up to the room we were going to use for a gym." It took Jarod and I about two nanoseconds to agree to that plan. Not your average living room décor, but we've never been accused of being fashionable anyway. Be careful when following the masses. Good to hear. I think they seem heavier because there’s no good way to grab it. Even on the main floor I recall it being no fun.
