Double-stack double-feed magazines like that are uncommon on pistols. It requires a wider slide and frame to accommodate, and requires additional engineering to make it reliable, since you have to account for a cartridge being presented by the magazine in two different locations.

Whereas single-feed magazines always present the round in the same place every time, which is easier to design a handgun mechanism around. And slides/frames can be more compact and thinner since the typical double-stack single-feed handgun magazine narrows to the width of one cartridge at the top.

Double-stack double-feed magazines are more common on long guns because they have more room to accommodate a double feed setup than on a significantly more compact handgun design.

But if you really really want a double-stack double-feed handgun, there are a few out there, like the Steyr GB, HK VP70, and FN FiveSeven.

ForgottenWeapons did a video on this topic not that long ago:

I'm fully aware of all of that (except for the FW episode, I'll have to check it out). Sorry, I probably should have mentioned I knew why we don't see as many of those designs. I'm willing to set aside that desire (which is only really present for yet another range toy anyway) because of the design concessions that have to be made. I can't expect multinational firearms manufacturers to kowtow to my very specific physical disabilities. That's unreasonable.

Well that sucks.
Have tried to call for three hours and get a voice prompt telling me that this call can't be completed due to high call volume.

What the hells going on ?

That, or if you're trying to call Greg Cote, his website has this notice at the top:
"Greg Cote LLC will be closed from January 14 - 21 while we attend the Shot Show."

But online retailer websites are open 24/7/365. Even on holidays. You can place an online order from someone like Top Gun Supply.

https://www.topgunsupply.com/u...niversal-pistol.html

Or Brownells.

https://www.brownells.com/shoo...oader-prod23962.aspx

Or MidwayUSA.

https://www.midwayusa.com/prod...136952670?pid=952670

Or even order online from Greg Cote's webstore, if you don't mind waiting another 6 days until he reopens on the 22nd for your order to be processed and shipped.

Do you have a local gun store?

Check Magulas web page for someone that carries the product in your area, you might find the price is similar.

Link Where to Buy

At least that way you support a local small business who would appreciate selling it off the shelf.

If you want the Chartreuse model, probably have to do that online but you never know..

I don't understand

Go to web site. Place order. Receive order. Happiness.

I've ordered from Greg several times. He's GTG in my book.

Problem solved.

( After 8 phone calls and 3 hours)

Turns out that Springfield Armory sells mag loaders for $10.00.

Eek

No they are not "universal"
But it will do the job fine, just fine ,
Iam sure.

Lexi at Springfield has great customer service skills.
A pleasure to do business with.

Exasperating morning but with a good outcome.

Moral of the story:
There are still very good people in retail.
But they are like
Sea shells
You gave to search for just the right one.
