Yes, the Uplula is expensive. I bought one 12 years ago and it is still going strong and will probably see me out.

Just know that the Maglula Uplula While really handy in saving finger tips they can and will crease the ammo casing on mags that are next to impossible to get the last few rds in “ new Glock mags “.

Mag springs from S.A. are an absolute bitch

I bought my wife a Magula a couple of years ago. She loves it.

I had to buy one for myself this year while I was going through chemotherapy. The chemo caused neuropathy in my fingers which made loading magazines very difficult.

Make sure to buy your Maglula from a reputable shooting supply website. Do not buy from Amazon, as fakes abound. I made that mistake and wondered why this thing that everyone spoke so highly of didn't work worth shit. Then I got a real one.

Maglula Uplul should be at the top of your list....... Would suggest purchasing a color other than black.. Some of the colors might help deter them from sprouting legs and getting lost. .............................. drill sgt.

Also load your first round by hand. The "beak" in the tool can gouge the magazine follower. It's all in the instructions.

Also, you can use it with just your hands, but I prefer to put the magazine base-down on a table or bench top.

40 dollars is NOT too much for an Uplula. Recently purchased a P365 and while I was able to get 10 rounds in those magazines after loading 4 the tip of my thumb was rather painful. Loading these magazines with an Uplula is not only pain free it is actually very easy.

BTW, I have Arthritis in the first joint of each thumb and was really surprised that I was able to get these magazines loaded. Two years back a relative suggest that I reduce the sugar in my diet and following that advice has really reduced my Arthritis. Hot tip here is that those who are living with Arthritis should reduce their sugar intake as much as possible. While it takes a bit of resolve the benefits make it well worth the effort.

For the record: I've never had either of these happen.

I did have one new mag where the last round was so tight I couldn't get it in with the UPLULA and had to do it by hand. It was that tight that the little extra space for the pusher-downer-thingamabob made it impossible to get the last round in.

It also works will atop your thigh, if no bench- or table-top is available.

The real Maglula Uplula are made in Israel, the fakes are made in China.

My Uplula is orange. In addition to being able to tell it apart from the sea of black ones, bright coloring also helps you quickly find it at the bottom of your range bag.

Such nonsense. You're trying to jam a 44 into a 357 cylinder! OK, I really do have one or two. I think I haven't seen the double stack one in a few decades. The first one, bought maybe 50 years ago, also works well on my p210 mags. Nothing works very well on the -7 mags because they're 22 caliber.

I've got all of them and use all of them.

When I hear “forced magazine gagger tool”, I think of the ETS CAM mag loader.

My Canik TP9's both came with a speed loader tailored to their magazines (it will fit on a P226 magazine, as well). Not going to lie, I love it.

I'm "not old" by Monty Python standards ("I'm not old. I'm 37;" I'm 35), but I lost a fight to a table saw a few years ago and got a sensitive spot right down the middle of the pad of my right thumb as a result, so I'll take mechanical advantage where I can get it.

I have noticed things get way harder in my P365 12 rd magazines past 8 rounds though.

I kinda wish pistol mags work like AR mags, where you can just drop it on top and snap it in place (or if some do, more did).

For the record, every pistol I own currently is a 9mm.
