Striker in waiting |
I know its a long shot, but a friend of the family (young woman, fresh out of college) just got her first real job in Fredericksburg and needs a place to live. Looking to rent for $1,000 or less. Guaranteed to be an excellent tenant. Is that realistic in that market? It sure as hell isn't up here. Anyone know anyone? Thanks in advance. -Rob I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888 A=A

Not realistic in that market. Fredricksburg is very expensive probably in the 1200-1300 range for a decent 1 bedroom DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.

Get my pies outta the oven! |
Rents nationwide have exploded, I don’t think they are going to find much of anything for $1000 a month anymore anywhere without taking roommates.

For that price it will either be a crappy ass 1br apt or rent a room from someone. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

1 bed, 1 bath ~$1000 This is about as good as it gets unless someone knows someone. These apartments aren’t far from the college/hospital. ___________________________ No thanks, I've already got a penguin.

She should be prepared to spend more or have a commute.

There are a lot of military bases in the area. Realtors who cater to military personnel would be helpful in determining what's out there. CMSGT USAF (Retired) Chief of Police (Retired)
