2016 Tacoma needs new tires. Thinking of Cooper AT3 as a replacement. I drive 14K miles a year. No off roading. Snowy winters here in western NY. Anyone use these tires?

I put them on my Xterra in 2015. Still in great shape, no complaints. I would have no issues with buying them again. Not that it matters much, but I've had three different people, strangers, say to me "Those are really nice tires." lol No idea what prompted any of them. Really strange, I never had anyone compliment a tire before. They were a little bit noisier than what I had on it before (the Cooper's being more aggressive tread and the Michelin's being worn down) but not in a bad way, not obnoxious. I actually kind of liked it. After a day or two I didn't even notice anymore. I bought them off Amazon... just looked, they're $24 less than I paid in 2015. _____________________________________________________ Sliced bread, the greatest thing since the 1911.

I've had them on my 4Runner since I brought it home from the dealer; two years and just over 20,000 miles. They are great but I'm replacing them next week with BF Goodrich KM3 tires (and going from 275/70 to 33x12.5) for a couple of reasons. 1. Even though I have the "10 ply" E rated versions, I've had two sidewall punctures from rocks when off-roading. Yes, I know the sidewall isn't 10 ply, it's only 2. The KM3s are 3 ply on the sidewalls. 2. The off-road traction when in mud or crawling rocks is just not enough for my needs. The KM3 is better suited for those use cases. Given your limited off-road use, you'll be very happy with them! That second sidewall issue required a trail-side tire change.

No experience with those but I can recommend Michelin Defender LTX tires. Put them on my Jeep a few years back and I love them. Good traction dry, rain and snow. They wear like rocks and are very quiet. --------------------------------------- Life Member NRA “If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. Sorry, but I hate Michelins. Take a look at Hankook's too. Really good tire and value like th e Coopers. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

She is running those Cooper on her truck; i am using them on both of mine. They, in my opinion, are the best tires i have ever driven.

You ever make it up to the Red River Gorge or Daniel Boone National Forest trails?? Shoot me an e-mail if you do. I am in in Central KY. I am starting to build my Expedition to do some lighter trail work since I am a bit limited by size and available (or lack there of) of aftermarket support. As for the Coopers from all my reading they are my number 2 choice that I am going to put on my Expedition behind the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2s which would be another good option for you. They are a slightly higher price point than the Coopers. Though the price point is likely what draws people to the Coopers as well. Supposed to be an excellent tire for the money. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I haven't yet. Red River is a bit of a haul to then off-road all day. Some of the groups I'm in occasionally go to Daniel Boone. I'll give you a shout if I make it up that way! I'm pretty much done with the build on this rig. In addition to the tires (and because of their size and all of the weight I've added) I'm re-gearing next week to 4.88 from the OEM 3.73.

Drive up and camp, then wheel the next day, camp, then drive back. I hope to have my mild build done by summer. I am going to look into having King build me a set of customs rear coilovers so I can raise the truck more than an inch. But I am likely looking at close to $3,500 for fronts and rears and still need upper control arms. The fronts from an F150 work but rears are different so to have a matched set I have go with Bilstein which limits me to a 1” lift in the rear as it is just a standard shock fit to the OEM coilover with a 1” leveling collar. The front Bilstein coilovers are capable of 3” or lift but no way to match that in the rear without a strut spacer which I am not too keen on. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. I had a set on my Ford Sport Trac. LOUD I replaced them before they even got to the tread indicators, because I couldn't stand the noise anymore. 美しい犬

I'm on my third set on my beater 4runner. I like them. No complaints.

I ran factory set of Bridgestone and a second set... This is my 3rd set and I went with Cooper Discoverer AT3... I lost 1 mpg. Little more noise. Grip good. Seem to run out even. Cost was $100 less a set. I like them well enough. 2011 Chevy 1500 4x4 that gets used for work.

I have them on my F150 for the last year. Great all around tire and surprisingly quiet and smooth. Would do it again given a choice. There are 3 kinds of people, those that understand numbers and those that don't.

I have had a set for quite a few years now on my FJ. Liked them well enough to put on the wife’s 4RUNNER. Hold up better than I ever thought to road use and work well enough for what little snow and off road we get.
