That really stinks about the Charger and Challenger. My son has been saving up for the Challenger.

It's just the trend of cars being nothing more than an appliance. Most crossovers looks the same with absolutely zero personality. Gone are things like a 78 Pontiac Trans Am with a screaming chicken on the hood, a Dodge Little Red Express with stacks up the back of the cab, even an 80's Chevy IROC Camaro.

I always liked the Maxima, from the first one I got my hands on (in about '86... I set off the alarm inside the dealership). Well, until the CVT versions. I didn't know insurance companies classed it as a sports car; I think that's a little nutty.
If Nissan would offer up a Maxima SE like the 5th generation version (A33, 2000-2003 or so), with that sweet VQ-series V6 and the manual transmission, I'd snap one up in a big, fat hurry. That's the best-looking Maxima produced, in my opinion. The 7th gen (A35) looked good on the outside, but was pretty dated on the inside to begin with.

Yup, the older ones were sleeper-ish. When they went CVT...killed it IMO.

Never cared much for the current generation of Dodge Chargers, but, the Challenger is just plain cool![]()
