Military Uniform Question (language NSFW)
A friend (retired firefighter) posted this on a social website and didn't have an answer, so maybe the brain trust here has some insight.

What is blurred out on the sleeves of their uniforms. I've never seen anything on the underside of sleeves on U.S. military uniforms.

DISCLAIMER: No idea where the original picture is from or if it isn't from a movie or something.

*** NOTE *** Question answered. Picture deleted because of possible copyright infringement.

Okay, so in consideration of a mod's response, the picture is re-posted ...

I don't know why it's blurred in your photo. There is nothing special in this original except maybe some copyright stuff that kept them from making that image.

Yeah, someone probably slapped a watermark on there so nobody could "steal" their dank maymay, totally misunderstanding what memes are and how they work.

Hobbs, posting an image to ask a question about it doesn't violate copyright.

Are you claiming the image as your own, or profiting from it in any way? No? Then it is fair use of an image.

Now people have no idea what your thread is about.

Arc.

Carl is well known in the USMC. So maybe the Commandant asked for this meme to be removed from the record.

The referenced photographs include operators operating operationally with high-speed, low-drag IR reduced tactical sleeve fastening devices that provide more efficient field expedient moto-tight sleeve rolls than previous generations of fasteners.

The photographs have been redacted to prevent reverse engineering of the fastener's overall dimensions and capabilities.

You're gonna spook the poor boy, thinking he's doomed all of America's Warfighters® to a grisly, laser-fueled death, because the NorKs have discovered the capitalist secret of sleeve buttons.

To meet it looks like someone added something to the photo, just as whomever added the bubble quotes did. But bubble quote guy didn't have the original picture to work with and just blurred out the first guy's addition.
