If you are looking at classy for a high but still reasonable price, go with Filson. I have the medium duffle in green. It's held up very well over 3 years and it is my go to bag for trips of a few days. Made in the USA if that matters. Filson medium duffle

No, they are not flashy leather and oiled canvas that look wonderful and cost $1000, but these are great little bags. Good quality, you can fit a surprising amount in them, and the price is affordable.

I bought several on sale. I keep one in my truck as a get-home/survival bag and could easily live for several weeks on what I can keep in there. The others I use for luggage. I can fit enough in one for a week away from home easily.

I have this bag and love it.

I've had good luck with London Bridge Trading stuff.
http://lbtinc.com/1476ac

They make lots of stuff for military use, are made in the USA, lifetime warranty with good customer service, and have great sale prices.
The prices when they aren't on sale are high but sign up for the sale notifications because they are often a tremendous discount from retail. I've bought stuff that listed for hundreds in the $50-75 range on sale.
I've have bags in almost any size I need by waiting until they are on sale and have spent less that $200 total on 3 bags.

Hard to beat RedOxx bags. Made to parachute rigging standards. Expensive, maybe outside your desired budget, but they last forever and come in many sizes and colors. I have one that's been to Africa on five trips and still looks like New as done a smaller one used every weekend for trips to a second property. https://www.redoxx.com/

I have that bag, in black. Paid I think 60 bucks for it on sale, a number of years back (more than 5, less than 10). I LOVE it.

Agree about the pricing. Their stuff is outstanding, but only (IMO) reasonable on sale. Sometimes the sales are good enough that their stuff becomes a screaming bargain, but the list prices are just a bit much.
