leonidas211Overnight Duffel Bag
Well. Bought a canvas and leather bag off amazon. Lasted 60 days. Teeth on the zipper broke.
Can anyone recommend a good overnight duffel. 100/200 range.
Can't seem to find a good one.

Riley http://www.badbags.com/index.p...duffel-3-sp-3-detailI have this one, a #2 would probably be a better single night bag. I reall like it and they fixed my one complaint and moved the shoulder straps connection to the top rather than the side. The side mount made the bag hang so the bottom was against your body. More of a mess that way.
Next choice would be a Tom Bihn Yeoman

comet24North Face makes is very tough duffle. I have one I bought years ago. I have been throwing dive gear in it for years. Besides local trips, it's been around the world and to more than a few countries. It has been thrown around planes filled to airline limits of 50lbs many times.
Mine shows some wear, scuff marks but the zipper and straps are in perfect condition.
Comes in a few sizes. Doesn't have any fancy pockets just one large opening.

Mountain WalkerKirkham's is a premium manufacture of Tents. I have used the simple cargo duffles for years with good results. They use 8.5 oz cotton shelter duck used in their Springbar Tents, it is durable and packs into small space when not used. They also have other duffles with thicker material. Look their page over, you might see something you like:

JJexpActual overnight, or enough room for 2 or 3 days? I can usually fit a change of clothes and a toiletry bag into my luggage works duffel, but strongbags will probaly be my next buy. I do like the look of the lw bag better though.

Mountain WalkerKen's Canvas are super heavy duty, basic bag. They make horse packing items which are stoutly made.

leonidas211I appreciate the quick response.
Let's remove the price restraint. Go nuts.
Looking for clash over tatical. Business trips and what not.
Anyone have a waterbag from saddleback leather? I have the briefcase and love it. That's some serious money for a duffel but I am sick
Of stuff breaking.

arfmelI have one I bought from LL Bean 30+ years ago that still is working well. Brown heavy cotton canvas. Leather handles. Brass zipper, straight across the top, end to end. Probably USA made. Bet they don't offer anything like that anymore, but I think their warranty on the current offerings is still pretty good. A straight zipper will usually work and last longer than one that goes around curves and corners.

WoodmanThe Filson small tincloth duffle. It may be discontinued. This one was $90 from an online reseller. Nylon integral strap. Tough as nails. USA-made, guaranteed for life. I've used it as sole baggage (and carry-on) for several 2-3 week trips packing light (and washing clothes). For an overnighter, it'd be damn roomy.

UTsigI use a Filson Rucksack for overnight. I fit underwear, shoes, khakis and a shirt in it. In fact I can go for a few days, casual outdoors with this.
https://www.filson.com/rucksack.htmlFor longer trips I use the large, rolling Filson Dufflebag. My how prices have changed!
