as heads of our companies, unless it directly pertains to our industry? I don't get why they have taken to making political statements, as CEOs. Its forcing their employees and shareholders to go along with positions which have nothing to do with their company. Its something, I thought, was viewed as offensive. If I take a position, as the CEO, on certain regs, or taxes, I'm comfortable speaking for my, admittedly tiny, company, because I'm arguing for something which benefits my company, in a direct fashion. I don't go around saying "Our company position on abortion, or gun control, or immigration, etc is..." I am comfortable giving company positions on dairy regs/agricultural regs/taxes on companies/development regs, etc...

Many years ago, I spoke often of the .gov controlling people via companies. This, as many things dangerous to this Republic, is yet a creeping tendril of the poisonous vine that is choking the Tree of Liberty that shadows all of us. It is communism. It is invading the insides as a cancer, while the outside is left to appearing "healthy". It is simultaneously attacking education institutions, health, social services, the workplace, the military. And often, we allow it to occur in front of us, because it is easier to say things such as "pick the right battles", "I have a family to support, so I won't touch a hot button issue" and the like. One guy cutting through your perimeter wire at night is more dangerous that a column of tanks heading towards your FOB. And as this thing progresses, it gets harder for the few who will not bend to remain upright. If I were CEO, I would simply state as you did. "As CEO, I am not in the business of politics nor politicizing and devisive issues. There are endless venues for such things. I will lead on the issues of the needs of our clients, partners and most importantly, the people that dedicate themselves and their time to this venture and our business goals. All too often, leaders take on tilting at windmills rather than taking care of business. Let the dragon slayers chase windmills, while we focus on winning our core business." (or something like that, given it would sound much better if I were a CEO in real life, and not just make-believing. ) "the meaning of life, is to give life meaning" ✡ Ani Yehudi אני יהודי Le'olam lo shuv לעולם לא שוב!

I always respected Micheal Jordan's position on politics. Once during an interview, he was pressed on his views. His answer was, "Both sides buy shoes." I think that's a very smart position. Of course, it doesn't much matter anymore. Your contributions, etc will be scanned and reported.
