I sure will be glad when the election is over. I have a sister and cousin that both have gone completely off the rails with their TDS as have many of my "friends". Thankfully my wife and kids are all part of my tight (ever shrinking) circle of sane, logical and rational family and friends.

I am not engaging any of them but I will not forget this shit. Every day I read Para's message to us about the upcoming election. I've got those action items covered.

I'm agitated and bitter, anxious. I'm not sleeping well. But I'm holding together. My hunting, ongoing shotgun training and just being outdoors helps. Being here helps.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

I am behind enemy lines too. Currently about an hour away from you Wink. Stay strong and don't pay any mind to "friends" or their TDS. In the words of Teddy KGB, "it will all be over soon". I can't wait for people to see this for what it is. Liberation from tyranny. Truly.

I have students intentionally trying to set me off. I keep it on topic and just shut it down. Then I do fun things.

Voted a week ago so I am done.

I am in the Chicago area with way too many friends and family voting Harris.

I used to work with a guy who was a Democrat. We used to have some great conversations because he genuinely wanted to know what conservatives thought. We always kept it civil and I still have great respect for him.

Unfortunately, he is a rare exception. Most of the Democrats I cross paths with today can't articulate an intelligent thought. "Trump is a fascist!" "Really? In what way?" "Because he's a racist!" "I didn't know that. What racist things has he said?" "You must be a Nazi too!!"

Every vote is important, of course. That said, many States are mostly spoken for. I do hope a silent majority wakes up.

My sister has a friend in TN, they get along pretty well, but he’s a big lefty. I don’t think living in TN it even matters.

Yeah, I’ll be glad next week. I plan to keep an eye on how PA turns out.

You think they're going to change their ways once Trump is elected? You're kidding yourself. It's only going to get worse.

What do you do with those who would gladly send you off to reeducation camp? Because if they ever had the opportunity in the future, they'll do it.

What the fuck are you talking about? I'm saying the nuts are going to come to grips that change is coming. Not the change they want. These are the replies that make me shake my head. To answer your question, I don't recommend we do anything with those who would advocate reeducation camp. That is how the far left thinks.

The nuts will never come to grips with anything. That's what the fuck I'm talking about. I'm surprised you haven't noticed this, as we've had countless examples going back to 2016.

Well I suppose if the far left ever gets their way, and you can see they've been trying and almost succeeding lately, you mention this to them as they're loading you off. How many hundreds of Republicans have they jailed lately?

It's like recommending you don't do anything to a rattle snake that advocates biting you....that's how snakes think. We're above that.

Heard about a couple who have their wedding date set for the weekend just prior to the presidential election and have told all guest that ABSOLUTELY no political discussion would be allowed... Even to the point that they had small signs made and placed on the reception tables as extra reminders... Also the reception will be "DRY" because no alcoholic beverages allowed. ................. drillsgt.

Reminds me of Mel Gibson in the Patriot:

“HOLD, HOLD” Yeah, a week to go. The anxiety I feel is because of Hell-O-Ween + the election. I’ve been running around like a spanked ass all week getting a bunch of shit done where I have to drive around town and knock this and that out. People are driving even more erratic than usual, and are definitely in an anxiety type state and I’m not having it. Finished today so between now and November 1st, I’m not going anywhere. I’m hibernating and will do my best to stay off the got damn roads.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

What’s the significance of November 1st?

Hell-o-Ween bullshit holiday will be over. The next few days the local jackals will be all over the streets, traffic jams, to buy candy, costumes, whatever. It’s a shit show every year.

Fortunately my entire family is Conservative. My wife and her brother are as well. I can’t imagine being married to a liberal like some of you guys. It’s not the politics but the way you run your entire lives.

I have a friend who made a genius rule once his kids got married and brought spouses and family around. You can talk about politics as much as you want but you can’t talk about anyone by name. It was amazing how quickly things got settled when it was all about policy.

Thank you SForumites, I just figured out my Halloween costume: MAGA hat, Trump 2024 T-shirt, red tie, tac pants, AR in hand (well, maybe not that last one). Really scary for the kiddos in my leftist hood.
