Posted back in June about having to put our pup Luke down after 9 years together. Didn't think I was ready for another, but my wife had been casually seeing posts from the local shelter about various pets.
She sent me down to look at a pup she liked & a couple days later she came home with me. Turns out she may be more my dog than the wife's Cool

Meet Ruby, our new Border/Lab mix. We picked her up on Wednesday & look forward to many years with her.

In the car on the drive home

Really well mannered & not near as hyperactive as I expected for a Border.

She's taken almost no time in acclimating to a new home & is learning the ropes pretty quickly.

The Enemy's gate is down.

Congratulations!

Hopefully (as she gets older) the laid-back Lab will temper the natural hyperactivity of the border collie.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Congrats, and thank you for adopting a rescue dog.

Sure looks like gratitude and love in Ruby's eyes in that first photo. Smile

She's gonna have you wrapped around her paw soon.
