I am in S.Arizona, the only place I ever heard the term was working in a prison. Black inmates used it quite often, this was in the late 80's. Haven't heard it used since. And it was used to describe a young, pretty girl.

Grew up in the 70s & 80s in the Northeast and never heard the term before. Must have been regional.

Cuomo uses the word frequently when describing his staff, and he is not from Cleveland.

Same here. The only way I knew the word was from the Bobby brown song.

Years on the east coast. DC area.Worked in SE & NE DC on the job in the hood. Many visits to New York. Never heard it until Bobby Brown used it. Never heard it at all afterwords.

I grew up about 30 miles south of Cleveland and never hear that term. Heck, from the title I thought this was a discussion on pepperoni spiced beef tenderloin. Actually that may be a brilliant concept, ought to think about filing a patent on that idea.
