For all the dog owners out there, who do you like for dog doors, if any. We have a lab puppy that is about 4 months old and would like to put a dog door in the basement so she can come and go during the day while we are at work without having to stay in a crate all day long. We have an invisible fence that she has taken to very well also. I first thought an electronic door that would unlock when she gets near for less than $200 but it is all plastic. Not sure how long it will last. I am leaning towards plexidor now. A little pricey but looks well built and made in the US. https://plexidors.com/product/plexidor-door-series/ Any input would be appreciated.

Our customers seem to like doors made by PetSafe. (We own a pet store) https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=n...k%3Adog+door+petsafe

Crusty old curmudgeon |
This is what we have and it's years old and going strong. 2 dogs and 2 cats use it all the time. Another cat never got used to it so we need to open the door for her. She's a real pussy. Moorepet makes high quality pet doors for all different applications and breeds. We use an in-the-wall door so our dogs have permanent access to their 1 acre fenced compound. It has double flaps of very thick plastic which secure themselves with magnets. We had to get the "Behemoth" model, largest they make, because of having Irish Wolfhounds. The dog in the picture is an Ibizan Hound, a bit smaller than the IW.
