Stopped by the local used book/cd/dvd/etc store and bought (among others) a CD. Went to rip it to digital and the CDDB information came back as a completely different artist/album. Apparently supposed to be Capitol Records 46468 but was pressed as 48468. The ID number and label printed on the CD matches the jewel case, but it was pressed as a completely different CD. Anyone know how often this sort of thing happens?

I have no idea how often, but the same happened to me back in the 90's. In my case, the label on the disc matched its content, not the jewel case. I returned it to the dealer, Tower Records, for an exchange.

Can't say that I've had the wrong pressing before. Although back in the day, I had a CD with a track zero as well as two double sided singles.

Actually, it was supposed to be Sawyer Brown, but it's Frank Sinatra. Soooooooooooooooo, still alright with me. Just funny and not sure how common!
