Have a 8 year old Sharp TV and running Fubo through a Fire Stick. The audio and visual is separated by a noticeable amount. Noticed it somewhat when we had Direct on the same TV. Thoughts on what the source of the issue might be? Anyone had this issue and fixed it?

I have it from time to time. My smart tv has a control to lag or move the sound relative to the visual but that isn’t permanent especially when I switch channels. What I tried was to 1) shut the tv down and start it again and reinstalled the app. Reinstalling whichever streaming app has been the fix for me. I also tried switching apps then going back to what I was watching. This has also worked. The usual app is YouTube TV. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Thank you Very little |
I've seen that happen a few times, I just shut down the sound bar and restart it, generally fixes it right up.

I haven't really noticed it on streaming services, but I occasionally have that issue on some OTA channels, which is sort of strange.

I've noticed it a few times on Pluto TV, but not other streaming services https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I see this now and again. Our solution is to go up a station and back to the one you're watching. A pretty reliable fix. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

Ignored facts still exist |
All this, plus unplugging the TV from wall power for about 20 seconds and then plugging it back in. .

Thanks to all who replied. I find got around to pulling the entertainment center out (major PITA) so I could manually unplug the TV and the Fire stick. That seems to have helped considerably.

If you have the sound set to 5.1 instead of standard it will do that, check the sound settings in the streaming program you're using at the time (ie Netflix, youtube tv etc.)

If you ever need to do that again just turn the breaker off for a minute or so. It's way easier than anything that can be described as a PITA. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Thank you Skins. Like the hard reset of the system fixing the problem. (ie. first logical thing to do), the common sense and practical idea of hitting the breaker didn't even enter my mind. I'll keep it in mind going forward. Again, thank you its an easy and practical solution.

Are you watching an original Japanese Godzilla-style movie? _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is.
