I click the app icon on the Suburbans screen and it just says no internet connection.

I have the unlimited 4G LTE plan through GM and the vehicle works just fine as a hot spot.

I can’t find a menu or anything for Pandora. Just the app Icon on the home screen but it won’t do anything but say no internet connection.

You need to also have an account set up with the Pandora App on a connected phone or tablet.
Then make sure the device is connected to your vehicle. On the vehicle home screen go to "Settings", then "manage Device"
Hope this helps.

Do you by chance, use an IPhone?
I'm looking at my manual, and for IPhone, 1. Plug the device into USB port. The phone screen must be unlocked.

I have an Android phone, and can Bluetooth or USB through Android Auto, so I don't know if this is a thing or not.

aside from that, I got nothing.

I believe you are trying to use the Pandora through the trucks app which would require wifi, I think.

You should be able to stream with your phone via bluetooth using the bluetooth icon. Or the Apple Play while plugged in as said above

I can play Pandora via Bluetooth from the iPhone without issue. But to like songs or change stations one has to use the phone. I have a 2015 so no Apple CarPlay.

There is however a Pandora app directly on the Chevy home screen.
I have the Chevy 4G LTE plan and the truck is setup as a WiFi hot spot.

Hmmm, maybe the app is out of date. Try calling 800-222-1020 Chevy customer service

You keep mentioning 4glte and wifi hotspot working, and your data plan.
All independent of what you need for Pandora.

Don't know about the 4gLTE plan but suspect its only for phone calls and to feed the WiFi hotspot.

On my 2014 Silverado if you plug my IPhone in usb you can play Pandora and pick channels on the trucks screen. I have the Pandora app on my phone and just push the Pandora button on the home screen to play. Phone must be unlocked.

Hope this helps.

That is what I am trying to figure out here what else do I need?
I have the Pandora account, 3 separate data plans one of which is directly linked to the unit running the app.

I want to push the Pandora button on the screen and access Pandora. It should not be this difficult.

BTW, you may not have a tab that says "APPLE CARPLAY", it might say "Projection" for the carplay

The 15s don’t have either.

So when I bought the thing the salesman said to use the Pandora App on MyLink one had to use the. GM 4G LTE plan.

According to this that is not the case and what McGregor mentioned is that the phone needs to be plugged into the USB.

Link to original video: https://youtu.be/ZilP37NMBbE

When plugged in the phone never switches to Pandora Accessory mode. I use Amazon Basic Lightening cables which I thought were Apple Certified.
Maybe the cable is an issue while it charges maybe it does not function the accessory mode.
Guess I’ll try an actual Apple cable to see.

Looks like I won’t be getting anymore GM data plans.

Tried it using an Apple brand cable and it worked.
I stopped to get gas shut the truck off did not unhook the phone. Jumped back in and it did not work again. I opened and unlocked the phone but still did not work.
I am guessing one needs to unhook and rebook the phone up to the cable.

Whoever designs these interfaces need to be punched in the face. The point of the app on the screen is so I don’t have to Jack with the phone in the first place.

It’s like $800 bucks to upgrade to the newer factory modules for Apple CarPlay to work.
A little stout so I doubt I will do that.

You need to go into the vehicle settings and sign into the wifi. I know it sounds insane but I have a Silverado and had the same issue. Despite the fact the head unit is broadcasting the wifi, it does not automatically join the network. The app is not for the phone or anything else.

that is confusing.

I have a 2015 chevy 2500. my phone (samsung S5 active) is paired to the truck and i can answer phone calls.

my display looks the same as yours, and when i push the Pandora button, it launches and plays. I can control the stations and skips from the truck display. If i don't change back to radio before I turn off the truck, next time i start it, it goes directly to Pandora and picks up where it left off.

I probably wouldn't, either, but having used Android Auto in my Tahoe for the last year, I would be tempted. It's nice not messing with factory navigation and having a familiar interface and better voice recognition.

I hope you get this sorted out.

Where is the WiFi setting?
I just went through every menu in settings with no mention of wifi

I'd also include the people who configure the subscription plans and tier levels for this stuff.

I would recommend that you take it to the dealer just like you were showing up for an unexpected oil change, hand them the phone, and ask them to do it since they are laser focused on satisfying the customer. Be sure to mention laser focused, and customer satisfaction. And that you want to keep an eye on your phone, and not have any settings changed without your review and approval.

The dealer was paid to show you how all the features work on your new car, and to help setup your cell, garage door opener, etc., and will get paid warranty time for a tech to find out if any aftermarket cables or devices are the problem, or if you need to purchase an upgrade to their software so your devices will work with your new car, especially during the first year.

Chances are you just need to wait for them to issue a service bulletin for a infotainment software update to correct the issues with your vehicle since they probably rushed the software to production and most people won't find the bug or complain about it. If you document it with a repair visit now and you have to wait for them to issue a fix, you might be able to leverage it for some parts or service credit, or even a car payment or two depending on how much this impacts your purchase satisfaction.
