Never a good idea to call out the Woman in charge with those words (Anne Marie Schubert). Or her posse. Especially her posse.

There were more bone-headed counter-protesters in the video, inflicting greater assault against the deflagged pole-swinger, but the DA went after she of puny fists who incited and called names.

I have actually met this woman once a few years ago, we were doing some renovations on the school building. By Berkeley standards she seemed normal. Tragically Trump derangement hit epidemic levels , The San Francisco area was hit had, the east bay, Oakland, Berkely El Cerreto ect, has been devastated to the point of near societal collapse. Since the last supreme court appointment there has been a severe shortage of safe spaces, thearpy animals , holistic musicians, and aparently , restrooms. The suffering of these people is unbelievable. The threat of the massive, and growing numbers a of Facists, NAZIs, Klansman , skinheads , patriarchs and other assorted white nationalist presents a threat to Democracy . They are in on a conspircy with the Superior court in Sacramento , and, the California Highway Patrol. so the SJW say.All this torments me in my spare time. Poor Ms Falarca, all she did was beat that big mean NAZI with those little fists. Now, not quite old enough to retire from her teaching job, she faces a feloney charges, if convicted she will never teach children again, or recieve a pension she has spent the last 25 years working for. Terrible

Whew! Thank God she was there to stem the tide!

They've all entered no contest pleas to reduced misdemeanor charges of unlawful assembly.

The charges will be dismissed in 18 months if they each complete 90 hours of community service and only engage in peaceful protests. They face up to 90 days in jail if they violate the conditions.

As opposed to the right winger who got 4 years hard time for the same melee. Seems like a totally balanced outcome to me... totally. Roll Eyes.

What did she think she would accomplish by confronting them? What was punching him going to do aside if getting charges filed against her?

Her, and her compatriots actions have nothing to do with changing the mind of those they physically attack, they are well aware it's not going to change the mentality through submission.

The point is to discourage others with different thoughts from presenting them publicly, it's to suppress all counter thought, stop any speech they disagree with, in the end to allow only conversation that they agree with.

That is IMO it's base purpose, suppression...

That would be the most Orwellian outcome and very consistent with the past in this part of the country.
