The first thing I want to do is to apologize to David for taking so long to post this. There have been many stories about how great David Truong is to work with and now I get to thank him for saving my wife’s broken engagement ring. Back in January she was washing dishes and let out a little scream, when I ran to the kitchen to see what was wrong, she was holding her engagement ring in her hand. The 1 carat center stone and setting had broken from the ring leaving the other two diamonds and the band intact. We were fortunate that she felt it break off and found the center setting. My first thought was to call Mimi’s Jewelry to see if David could help. We decided that instead of having the ring repaired we wanted David to design a new ring. He arranged overnight shipping of the broken ring to Fountain Valley and then asked us to send him pictures of rings that my wife liked so that he could get an idea of where to start his design. After inspecting her ring, he explained why he thought it broke and how he would ensure that the new design wouldn’t have that problem. He sent us pictures of the proposed new ring and after my wife asked for a couple of changes he started working on the ring. From the day the ring was shipped to Mimi’s until the day I was able to put the ring on her finger was just under 30 days. My wife is extremely happy with her new engagement ring and has received many compliments from her friends and family. She is exceptionally pleased with how the new design shows off all of the diamonds. Working with David and his crew at Mimi’s was a wonderful experience. We had never had a piece of jewelry custom made before and had no clue what to expect especially since we are in Virgina and they are in California. They managed to keep both of us worry free. As has been said before on this forum, if you have any questions about jewelry: Call David! This is her old ring: This is the masterpiece that David created: USMC (Ret) 1970-1990 Recovering 1911 Addict NRA Benefactor Member | ||
