Ten years ago I announced my renunciation of my position as the official SIGforum Anti-touchy-feely ambassador as I tricked some awesome lady into marrying me. The 10th anniversary is coming up in a couple months but I don't know what you normally do for an amazing person on their 10th year of putting up with me.

Any ideas? Bathroom scale? Vacuum sweeper? Those seem practical. Big Grin

But seriously, ideas are appreciated.

Or, go for an 'us' thing, since it's both of your anniversary.
We were planning an Italy trip, then the world shut down.

Pens or Pirates game. In days of old they'd put up a personal message on the scoreboard for a fan's big event. My wife got one of these on her 16th birthday (Pens, in the Igloo, arranged by her uncle) and she still has the photo of the scoreboard message on our wall. I'd not be surprised to learn that they no longer allow this, but no harm in asking.

I always thought 10 years was the Fender Princeton Reverb anniversary. 10" speaker and all the controls go to 10. She'll understand.

My wife and I are celebrating 31 years today.

For our 25th, and 30th, we did 25, and 30
Dates.

Had to be somewhere we had not been, ie restaurant, and an activity we had not done. Ie new art gallery, kayaking new water, antiquing, waterfall, arboretum, zoo, sporting event, theater etc.
Sometimes we made a weekend out of it and combined dates.

So, 10 unique dates, in 10 new places, trying out 10 new things.

Doesn’t have to be terribly expensive, but spreading it out helps with costs.

Never stop dating your wife.

Congratulations on 10 years soon!

Oh, I’m sure she’d be thrilled with another guitar or amplifier in the house. Big Grin

I like it. We do still go on dates but finding something new may be a fun thing. Maybe a small gift of jewelry and the 10 dates.

Does going to a music stores count as a date? Razz

Did you ever sell that ring?

Just kidding.

How about a 4-day weekend away for the two of you?

Sure a music store could be part of it, just go to a new town, try a new place to eat, check out the area, do some window shopping, wine tasting and check out a new music store. Date one in the books. :-)

10 years, traditionally tin or aluminium. I think nice relief artwork, or, the modern, Diamonds. For our 10th, we went on a cruise, and bought a piece of art on aluminium. Remember, 15, 20 and 25 is coming! Daffodils for flowers

My wife and I stopped doing the gift thing years ago . Anniversary , birthday , Christmas , it's just another day . Usually we'll just go out to eat. It makes things so much easier .

That’s pretty much how we are but she has put up with the likes of me for ten whole years.

We went away for a long weekend to a nice hotel and to see David in Lancaster then to a really fancy restaurant where I spent more money on dinner for two than I’ve ever spent in my life and it was worth it.

Also had one of these made with significant dates for when we said “I Do” and first house purchase date, kids birthdates etc:

I like PASig’s idea.

But for us as someone else stated above we rarely give gifts anymore but rather we take trips to new places.

On our 10th we went to Tahiti and it was magical. While we were there we saw a Windstar sail boat sailing off into the sunset from our restaurant high on a mountain and thought that would be amazing..

The 10 dates thing sounds like a neat idea, a weekend trip away to some PA or WV area (presuming you are close to WV) resort with things to do together and a nice restaurant, pool, amenities maybe someplace close to a Pawn/Guitar store....
