deepoceanEdison cylinder phonograph machines
Does anyone here collect Edison cylinder phonograph machines? I'm looking for the names of current companies/newsletters which repair/buy/sell machines and suppliers of original and reproduction parts. I've searched Google, and most of the companies I dealt with 15 years ago are no longer in business.
Thank you for your help.

Chris42Sorry I can’t help, but that inspired an interesting idea -
New releases on Edison cylinders?
How about Pink Floyd coming out of that horn?
A little Willy Nelson - “On the Road Again” ?
A bit surreal...

ScreamingCockatooI've had to teach myself to repair my Victroloas.
The biggest issue is with the motor spring breaking inside the drum.
And the tone arms crumbling away. So Occasionally I'll buy junk machines for parts at antique shows.
I have an Edison Amberola here somewhere, it was my wife's grandads but it was only the machine head and no cabinet.

The original Edison decorative containers are fascinating to look at. If the wax cylinders have deteriorated, unless someone has a shaver, and a way to record them again, they may not be interesting. I have an old Edison cylinder Edifone I bought 20+ years ago that is electric and uses wax cylinders.
