GibbI had a 78 Pontiac Phoenix (same as a Chevy Nova).
Canadian 305, worked over and pushed 327 to the wheels.
Had the rear quarter vinyl ladeau top (total grandma car) but would blow the doors off a 90's Camaro z28.
Yeah, that's the car I miss the most.
I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself. March 05, 2021, 04:08 PM
LastCubScoutThe vehicle I had the wackiest adventures in was my 1981 Datsun Pickup "King Crab." (I got it from my cousin. It was once rear-ended when he owned it, so he had the tailgate replaced and the "King Cab" logo on the rear repainted as "King Crab.") It helped many a friend or relative move all over the state. It got me to college and many road trips with nary a problem. I got it with 105,000 miles on it. I sold it to my coworker years later with 265,000 miles. He never took care of it and it sadly died soon after. The truck was even stolen from a shopping mall, and I got it back just a few weeks later with the glove box emptied, custom stripes peeled off, and with an abandoned door in the bed and a grimy denim jacket in the cab.

2000Z-71My 2006 Pontiac GTO, Cyclone Blue with a 6 speed manual. Loved that car, fast and comfortable. Unfortunately it became a victim of the economic crash and I was forced to sell it several months after being laid off in 2009.

GT-40DOCTwo of my favorites:
(1) 1963 Jaguar XKE Coupe It was great when it was running correctly.......but it needed a lot of love!!
(2) 1991 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo. I still have this one and just can't part with it.
There were other fun cars along the way.....I am "car crazy".

odinMine was my first new car: Plymouth Duster w/360 cu.in. engine and a 5 speed. Looked good and drove nice. Had to sell it in 1974 cuz my wife (now ex) couldn't drive a stick! I still drool over that car!!!!

khoFavorite car I ever owned was a 1998 M3, black with a light gray interior. Drove it for about 10 years and then gave it to my son who drove it for another 10 years until he and his wife had a baby. Close second was a yellow 1977 Camaro with a 350, four barrel carb and four speed. Shifted like a garbage truck.

wreckdiverI had 3 I loved, 1970 Dodge Challenger 340 H.P. 1990 Honda CRX and a 1999 Honda Prelude which I still have in storage, only 52K on that one.
Had the Challenger my graduating summer from High School. Could not behave myself in it . Had 12 speeding tickets that summer before the state pulled my license. Best summer of my life, not really my life, but my days as a single man.

drill sgtTwo favorites.................. 1971 Chevy Nova new off show room floor ( zero miles) with a very large "NO WARRANTY" sign on front windshield because it was a special order that had the factory high performance 396cci , twin Holley 650 cfm double pumper carbs , Muncie 4 speed floor shift , High back bucket seats, 411 positrac rear axle w/over sized rear tires. Copper bronze paint color on body that had been de-badged of all markings/ black interior color. This was a "sleeper" on the street and only got beaten by a 454cci automatic Corvette at FT.Sill / Lawton, Okla. . Documented 25mpg but also could melt down two rear tires in one weekend. ..................................... ............................ 1978 Ford F250 Ranger 4x4 w/low and high range transfer case / 8 ft bed / heavy suspension / 9:50 x 16.5 off road tread / auto transmission / 351 modified motor. was a beast. Once had the bed loaded w/ 1/2inch sheet rock 4ft x 12ft level with the cab roof and rear leaf springs had re-arched in opposite direction / had to lock front axles into 4x4 to drive across town very slowly. If I tried to pull someone or something either the chain/strap/rope would break and or something moved or the truck dug 4 holes and would bury itself. ........................... drill sgt.

GWbikerThere are several favorites I wish I could now own.
1954 Hudson Hornet. Rust free that I bought for $30, needing a valve job. So comfortable like sitting on your couch at 100MPH. Buddy and I trashed it.
1961 VW. I worked for VW at the time and replaced the motor with a large port 1500cc from a truck. Repo man got that car. Long story.
1977 280Z that I sold to a girl I should have married.
1985 Mercedes Benz 300D. Built like a tank. traded for a 1987 300D that became a money pit.
2006 Honda Accord. V6, 6speed. nothing ever broke.

davetruong1996 CL500...sold a business and bought a fun car. It was the sexiest car that exuded luxury, over engineered, ahead of its time. Always had issues; pumps, vacuums, electrical. But when it was good, it was so good, drove like a dream, an engine that was just beautiful. I absolutely miss it.
