I had a graymarket '64 VW Variant 1500 Squareback, 2 years before VW started importing them to the States - a really great car that got me through college.

EdmondMy 2003 Z06 I had from 2009-2014. It was a love-hate relationship. As the car aged, it needed repairs, more repairs than I wanted to do. I did save a lot working on it myself, though. It was modified and was pushing out around 450 horsepower so I had fun with it.

Awesome Viper!
I've yet to drive one or even sit in one but I'd like to experience it one day.

I'm not sure why and I've never owned one but I have always like them. It's impossible to find one that's not rusted into the ground here in the midwest.

bigpond73My 1969 Datsun 510. I still have it. One of these days will fix it up. Probably need to call Garage Squad......

slyguyCrazy as it sounds a 1978 Datsun 2WD pickup.
It was my first vehicle and I bought it with cash I earned working two jobs. I didn't know how to drive a stick and so dad drove it home for me.
I could fit all my possessions in the bed and moved several times with it as a young man.
I put chrome wheels all around with moon caps on all fours.
Cheers~

jhe888I had a 1978 Datsun 280ZX. It was a lot of fun to drive - manual everything. It didn't even have power steering. It wasn't super fast, but it was quick and drove nice.

old dinoNot mine, but growing up in the mid-1960s my dad had a white 1959 Cadillac ... loved the rear fins and pointy taillights.
Edit: Actually, I had a 1981 Toyota Celica Supra (black on black) that I loved, and the one I had when I met my wife in 1983.

GRIZZLYBEARMy favorite would have to be my first auto purchase at the age of 16.
1957 BelAir Chevy 283 V8 Sports Coupe Black with three on the tree....my first car and favorite one....got drafted in '63 and had to sell it.

cruiser682011 Cadillac CTS-V. Hopped it up for road racing then spent four years of my midlife crisis tracking it all over the country. Only car I have driven 180mph in. That car was amazing on the street and even more amazing on the track....for a heavy pig that is. And daily driving it was pretty luxurious and wonderfully smooth. You'd be surprised at how upset people become when they get passed by a Cadillac on a road course

CoolRich59Lexus GS350 (2008 IIRC). Car drove like a dream and was problem free.
I sold it to buy an Audi A6 because I wanted something with more "pep". The Audi was plenty fast, but I had one problem with it after another. I dumped it after 18 months.

I was young and poor and couldn't keep up with the repairs. I parked it in the garage and broke the very hard to replace windshield. Ended up just selling the thing but I wish I still had it.

Expert308The one I owned the longest was my `97 F-250. By far the most fun to drive is the Challenger R/T I own now (since a friend totaled the 250 back in `17). Yeah, I drove that truck for 20 years.

GaryBFThe vehicle I enjoyed the most was my 1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ. I had many problems with it over the years (13), but it was the most fun. The Wrangler of today just looks so bloated.

Suzuka is the best S2k color! Would be my #1 choice, as long as it doesn't have the smurf blue interior. The two tone blue/black interior on Suzuka exterior was the best.

E39s still look good today, much better styling than the E60, though that V10 was a screamer (when they worked).

My dad had a 510 coupe, took it from meh to gorgeous. Sold it just before I was born. Owners now think they're made of gold.

rburgI changed jobs back in 1990 and bought a 454 SS pickup truck. All smogged to hell and back. Drove it for about 5 years, but one day I didn't know if I'd get home or not. Sure, it needed a tune up. So on the road where it stopped, I found a golf tee by the sidewalk. Unplugged the EGR valve and with a pair of old army leather gloves I "exercised the Valve", plugged in the Tee. Started right up and ran like a top. Got it tuned and the guy said "do you know you had a gold tee in the vaccum line? He'd taken it out so I asked for it back. Popped the hood and put it back in. Ran better than it had ever run before. Better still, fuel economy jumped way up from 10mpg to 11!
