I had many family members who served, from my grandfather who was a part of the Punitive Expedition against Pancho Villa, to a cousin who survived the Bataan Death March, to my father, who served in the Navy and was in the South Pacific for one of the nuclear tests on Bikini Atoll.
Thanks for the chance, Q.

RotndadPlease include me in this generous Karma. I joined right out of high school. I had intended to serve 20 years at 38 years old, retire from the US Army, join the local LEO agency and retire after another 20 years at 58 years old. My plan may not have made me wealthy. But I would've had 2 pensions/retirements and would have been RICH with 2 lifetimes worth of experiences, memories and friends.
Monica wasn't Bill's only victim. Bill screwed me with the budget cuts in the early 90's causing me to RIF'd (Reduction In Force). My MOS was over crowded so I was cut with 2.5 years left on my second re-enlistment contract. At least Monica got a cigar.
