So I am looking to send a pistol to APW to get refinished. They mention on their site that many people use ShipMyGun to send it in. So I made an account, selected their FFL, selected where it would be coming from, but I was curious how to fill out the final section. Do I put their info in? Do I call them for a name to put in the "transferee" spot? I know this shouldn't be confusing me but it is lol. Any help appreciated.
A lot of guns shipped via SMG are online purchases. You buy a gun from me and I ship it to your FFL and fill out that information so they know who it belongs to.
You can probably put your own name in there or the name of the gunsmith. I'm assuming you're otherwise communicating with them to make an order anyway, and since they pointed you at SMG, they'll likely understand.
SMG is a good service that saves people a chunk of change on gun shipments.

Trying to use these guys to ship a gun to CCR for refinishing and it shows up as CCR shipping my gun to me. Where do I get the box I have to choose on their site? And I'd like to know where to drop the package off before paying for the label. If I have to drive to a FedEx hub 30 miles away, I haven't saved anything. I want to give these guys a chance, but they're not making it easy.
