Talked to the mechanic who services 16 of the Schwann's food delivery trucks.
He said that those set outside all winter and get plugged in when its below 20 degrees .
but they are 2011 models.
He says that its very similar to a pistol, It's way better to have it and not need it, than , need it and not have it.
He has a garage and never plugs his in , BUT he always gets one when he can.
Are you back up here east of the quad cities?

Erring on the side of caution. I don't think it necessary if they are driven every day.
