I've saw female cats/dogs sprinkle/spray things too.
No on the dryer vent, it will only cause lint build up. Which is always worse when using liquid softerner. Bounce sheets work much better for keeping the lint dry and not stick to everything.

Your HVAC guy should run the calc and tell you what size you need. Avoid oversizing, I had a 2 ton installed in place of a 1.5 ton, just a 800 ft2 addition. The HVAC guy said I could go either way. It short cycled every 8 to 10 minutes, had to buy a thermos that would limit the cycles.

I make a lot of steel for HVAC equipment suppliers, they ask for, pay for, and demand only the best. Hard to deal with sometimes. They all seem to be extremely quality minded.

I went with Lennox, make a lot of steel for them and it came with a 10 year warranty.
