| Steel roof is the only way to go. My first shingled roof lasted 25 years. The 2nd about 11 years. A friend is in the roofing biz and he says the asphalt mix today has to much "crap" in it. That's why the durability isn't there. |

| Ok - so my wife is now flip flopping on colors. Which, in turn, has got me questioning what color to go with.
Have a cream colored colonial with white trim. (no shutters). Struggling between some gray tones, darker charcoal tones, or some variations of brown.(currently have brown now)
If you are a roofer, or builder, I would love to get your opinion. I don't want to post a pic of my house on a public forum, but if you could email me, I would appreciate the opportunity to send you a picture and get your professional opinion on what looks best. (we are only staying in this this a few more years so resale value/curb appeal is important)
Email in profile.

Have you used any of the online simulators that allow you to upload a photo and switch back and forth between products to see how it looks? |

| a1abdj,
Yes, I used both the GAF and OC one. The simulation was not the greatest quality so it made it a bit challenging. I am going to take a different angle photo today and see if that works better. |
