My company terminated 10% of its work force today...

Because of the covid shot mandate.

To say I'm bothered by it would be very sorely understated.

Insanity. Someone should ask the boss why, and will he be firing the people that can carry and spread it next- in other words, the fully vaccinated.

I fear there will be more of this.

We were notified by a Hospital group we do work for, that starting December 6, 2021, all Contractors who visit their facility, will have to be vaccinated. Many of our Tech's are not vaccinated, for a variety of reasons.

I’ll be terminated in 30days for the same reason. After 27 yrs.

What company? How many employees is 10%?

I am in a very specialized field, and I will refuse to do business with any entity that’s mandating this nonsense.

I guess you can hire somebody else if you can find them, otherwise figure it out yourself.

My work is getting a little testy with me. Said I will be personally contacted this week.



Waiting to see how court cases work out and written letter saying they will fire me. I'm immunized (look up word), but not sharing my med records out of support for others who made their own choices based on doctors advice and their own rational decision process.

I applaud the 10% that did not bend on knee for whatever reason reason they made their decisions for which is none of my business or anyone else's.

Everyone is waiting for exactly that with baited breath. It's incredible that one CEO can wreak so much hades on so many people. The effect on morale, and the fear and anger it is causing is devastating for most, but no-one is talking about it for fear of getting terminated. Unbelievable. And it's an essential public utility, not that it makes any difference in the larger picture, I know we are only the tip of the iceburg across the nation. I just read the day before yesterday how the current administration has asked the large retailers like Wal-Mart, Kroger, etc, to provide information on the reasons for empty shelves, the price increases, the supply chain issues, etc.

Hmmmmm, I do think that any industry or place of employment that instantly losses 10% of its workforce will immediately have many of these issues.

It bogles my mind that they cannot see how these mandates are actually making things worse.

I still dont understand how you can compell people take a EAU vaccine... Since comerity isnt available in the US....

"No longer fully vaccinated" is now a thing, after having been "fully vaccinated" just a few months ago.

Yes, this is insane.

I have no words. I still can’t believe this is happening. Never in my life would i have dreamed of this.

My decision point seems to be in 6 weeks. Maybe less.

Skins - i respect you standing on principle. It means something to me personally. But unless it creates no hardship for you, i wouldn’t want you to get terminated over this since you already have the shot. Stand up with us while employed.

Just curious. I respect the 10% for not drinking the koolaid, tough decision for them to make especially when their jobs were on the line.

My friends company is mandating he get a shot, and he is a 100% work from home employee. He doesn't even live in the same state his company is based in. But because they do government and health care work its required.

A few weeks ago my employer sent out an email stating that because we (the company) are a government contractor, all employees must be vaxxed due to the executive order.

Religious and medical exemptions can be made.

A handful of us banded together and hired a lawyer to submit our exemption forms.

We're currently waiting on hearing back.

Why hire a lawyer? When i submit my exemption request, should i be requesting legal services?
