I have always loved the loyalty and festiveness of the Gurkhas...great soldiers. Glad to see their long tradition continues. Below is a blog that covers their recruit training https://www.gurkhabde.com/gurk...ke-19-training-blog/

In case of interest - 'We had hoped to visit the museum at Richmond'. The town of Richmond Yorkshire is the regimental home of the Green Howards, a light infantry regiment with a similar attitude to soldiering to that of the Gurkhas. You can ALWAYs identify a Gurkha soldier in civilian clothing, especially when he is training. He will be wearing a very smart dark suit and a white shirt an necktie. he will also be incredibly polite and respectful to older people. The security manager for one the the UK's major chain bookstores in a motorway service centre is a retired Gurkha sergeant. We often see him about his business when we make a stop at his location on our way over to Wales. I make a point of talking to him and asking him about his family, and discussing his settling into life in England. He has his wife and two young children here, but still sends about 30% of his wages back to his family in Nepal. This is quite common, he says. One of his team is unmarried and sends 50% home to Nepal.... 'Bravest of the brave' - in the British Army we really do love our Gurkhas.
