Yep but he didn't say where in MN so it could be as far north as International Falls for all we know. MN is a pretty big state north-south.
I'm about 25 miles NE of "Crotchester".This message has been edited. Last edited by: xantom,

Going down with a trailer isn't a bad idea but unless you make a fun road trip out of it, seems kind of boring.
An empty lightweight trailer is not going to be fun empty. That things is going to bounce around.

Is this a independent fabricator you are buying from? Is there a web site. I had a Santa Maria grill mounted on a trailer along with a vertical smoker. I loved the grill but hated the smoker so I sold the whole unit but I've been considering another Santa Maria.

Yes, Country Built Smokers. I watched many videos of his when I built my offset. His prices are very reasonable, and he will modify them pretty much however you want. I can hardly buy the steel for what he charges for a completed cooker.
$1600 for the vertical smoker. He's putting in 6 racks for me spaced out every 4", folding shelves, and temp probe ports.
$1050 for the Santa Maria . Made to 46" maximum width so I can mount my rotisserie. He's also making me interchangeable expanded metal grates like in the video, and a set of Argentinian grates.
My brother is getting this one.

If you don't want to fly, consider taking a train down, and rent a U haul?
That's a very simple trip in a straight truck, or a heavier pick up.
Some of them car really struggle w. the drag of a small trailer.

Well oil just took another big jump again and gas will soon be over $4.00 a gallon around here. I'd get that $1500 shipping price locked in NOW before it jumps up again and let them handle this all.

It sounds like he uses Uship.com, "hotshot" drivers. Looks like I'll be driving down to get them. Unless I can find a transporter that I can trust. Any ideas?
